The LSUS Cross Country teams fared well in their last regular season scheduled meet on Saturday. The meet was located in Marshall, Texas, hosted by East Texas Baptist University. This is the second consecutive year the Pilots have run this meet. This meet was divided into two different classes. The split was between NCAA Division III teams located in Texas (Class B) and then all other schools were in the other group (Class B).
The women's race for the first time this season was different than the regular 5K (3.1 miles). This race was a 6K (3.278 miles) and the further distance didn't seem to affect the Pilots.
The women's team was led by Elizabeth O'Neal (7:32 mile), Alexis Young (7:48), and Kelsey Ellender (8:14). These three led the way and then watched their teammates crossed the finish line in this order: Sarah Haines, Alissa Cucjen, Kenzie Holley, and Rikki Lee Adams. The Pilots recorded a fourth place finish in Class B and an overall finish of seventh place.
