The LSUS Cross Country teams fared well in their last regular season scheduled meet on Saturday. The meet was located in Marshall, Texas, hosted by East Texas Baptist University. This is the second consecutive year the Pilots have run this meet. This meet was divided into two different classes. The split was between NCAA Division III teams located in Texas (Class B) and then all other schools were in the other group (Class B).
The LSUS Men's Cross Country began their run an hour later than the women and had the usual 8K facing them. The guys fared well like the women recording a third place finish in Class B and an overall finish of sixth place. The men's team top three finishers were freshman, Angel Marroquin (FR/Jacksonville, Texas) (6:43 mile), sophomore Josh Hudson (6:50), and senior Daniel Allen (SR/Baton Rouge, Louisiana) (7:15). The remaining teammates finished in the following order: David Holland, Simon Moradel (FR/Bossier City, Louisiana), Duncan Phelps (SO/Shreveport, Louisiana), Jacob McDowell (SO/Colorado Springs, Colorado), and Ben McDowell.
