Women's Cross Country - Mon, Sep. 19, 2016

On Friday, September 16, LSUS Cross Country competed in the Ark-La-Tex Border Dash Collegiate Division. The Border Dash held its inaugural race last year as a high school and middle school meet. This year a college division was added as well. The race took place at South Bossier Park on Caplis Sligo Rd. The course is a flat, 3 mile run around the complex.

The women's race was a 2 mile run instead of the 3 miles the men ran. Sarah Haines (SO/Shreveport, Louisiana) ran a season's best 15:12 on the course to finish second place overall. All of the Lady Pilot's squad ran their best 2 mile time so far this season. Kate Inchun (SR/Houston, Texas) ran 16:27 and finished 4th overall. Rebekah Hensley (JR/Shreveport, Louisiana) (20:37) and Anne Puckett (FR/Shreveport, Louisiana) (21:29) rounded out the women's team finishing 5th and 6th respectively.
