Four days after winning the first conference tournament in school history the LSU Shreveport Pilots women's basketball team (22-9) learned their opponent for the first round game at the 2017 NAIA National Tournament. The Pilots will play at 2:15 p.m. MT at Rimrock Auto Arena in Billings, Montana, against the Westmont Warriors (27-4) who have won back-to-back GSAC championships.

"We're so excited to be in this national tournament," said LSUS coach Curtis Loyd who is the reigning RRAC Coach of the Year. "This was a goal of this team at the beginning of the season and we are excited to have this opportunity. Westmont College will be a very good team that has back-to-back conference championships. They also have a good core group that has been playing extremely well together. It's going to be a good game and a good match up."
