Men's Soccer - Thu, Aug. 3, 2017

SHREVEPORT, La. – The five-year hiatus finally came to a close this morning when the men's soccer team took the pitch for the first time since 2012 with a sunrise practice to beat the August heat. The team has begun two-a-day practices to prepare for their preseason schedule which begins with a scrimmage on August 11.

Coach Phillip Bohn amazingly put together a roster size of 34 for the first season back in a short amount of time but feels like this could be a special group, "We are really excited about the group of boys that we have this year. We have a good balance between transfers and freshmen which should provide us the necessary experience as we set to compete to win a conference championship. This is a high character group of boys that will be very successful student-athletes representing out school."

The regular season will kick-off on August 21 while the home opener will be on August 31 against Williams Baptist.
