JACKSON, Miss. – The Belhaven Blazers were granted a penalty kick with 11 seconds to play, which they scored on, as neither team could get the golden-goal so after two 10-minute overtime periods, the contest between the hometown Blazers and the LSUS Pilots ended knotted up at one at The Belhaven Bowl.

NOTES
The Pilots record after the match is now 1-1-1 while Belhaven goes to 0-0-1.

FROM COACH ASHLEY HOLLAND
"We worked hard and the girls gave everything they had. Our back line was solid and we connected very well and had great chances. Sometimes we don't get lucky with calls but that is how the ball rolls. The girls should be proud for the hard work. We will build from this and move on to the next one."

STANDOUT PERFORMERS
Natalie Bianco (JR/Guernsey, England) scored the only goal of the contest for the Pilots as it came during the 23rd minute. She led the team with two shots, both found their way on frame.

Kati-Jayde Cunningham (JR/Stonewall, Louisiana) had two shots, one was on-goal.

Alizah Mendoza (JR/Dallas, Texas) provided the crisp pass to Bianco as she was credited with the assist on the only goal of the night.

Elizabeth Cobar (JR/Garland, Texas) created some chances of her own and had two shots on goal.

Mason Richardson (JR/Forney, Texas) was all over the field once again and she provided one shot to the Pilots' offense.

Faith Irion (FR/Shreveport, Louisiana) pitched in with one shot on goal.

Karolyn Hasler (FR/Chandler, Arizona) recorded six saves in her 110 minutes of action.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Neither team were able to get a shot off in the first overtime period but a total of three were taken in the second OT as Belhaven held the edged 2-1 in the shots category in overtime.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• The Pilots had the most shots (4) in the first half but Belhaven held the overall edge, 10-8.

• LSUS had six saves in the contest while Belhaven had five.
