JUNIOR (2017): LSUS Male Student Athlete of the Year…1^st Team All-RRAC selection, RRAC All-Tournament Team…played in 57 games and started 55 for the Pilots…led the team with a .394 batting average, 80 hits…had 15 doubles, three triples, one home run and drove in 57 which also led the team as did his 48 walks…hit safely in 44 games…had 25 multi-hit games…had nine games with at least three hits…had 17 multi-RBI games…recorded a season high of four hits against LSU Alexandria, Jarvis Christian and Dallas Christian…drove in a season high of four against Our Lady of the Lake, Southwest and Dallas Christian.

SOPHOMORE (2016): played in 48 games for the El Paso Community College Tejanos and Coach Gabriel Saucedo…hit .329 with three home runs, 26 RBIs, 34 Runs Scored and 10 stolen bases…had nine multi-hit games…had three games with four hits…drove in a season high of four runs against Luna.

FRESHMAN (2015): played in 44 games for the Tejanos…hit .362 with 23 RBIs with 27 Runs Scored and four stolen bases…had 14 multi-hit games…drove in a season high three runs against Southwest (JV).

HIGH SCHOOL: played for Sands Secondary School for Coach Jim Chapman…won the Canada Cup-Gold Medal with Team British Columbia in 2013.

PERSONAL: born Ryan Lee Pouwells on March 31, 1996, in Vancouver, British Columbia…goes by Pouwells…son of Darren and Kathy Pouwells…has one sister, Emily…majoring in Kinesiology with a target graduation date of May 2018…plans on becoming a collegiate baseball coach or an Athletic Trainer.
