PAYTON ROBERTSON WINS RRAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
For the second straight week, an LSUS Pilot has been named as the RRAC Player of the Week. This week's selection is Pilots third baseman Payton Roberton. Robertson led the way for the Pilots 3-1 weekend against #21 Lyon.
Robertson hit safely in all four games as the Pilots won three of four games over NAIA #21 Lyon University (Ark.). The senior third baseman smacked a three-run homer that led to a 7-4 victory in game 2, and he was 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs as LSUS won the finale, 6-3. Robertson, the 2019 RRAC Player of the Year, was 7-for-16 in the series with three runs scored, two doubles and six RBIs. The native of Orange, Texas, is batting .395 on the season, and he is tied for second in the conference in RBIs with 12. LSUS is ranked 12th in the nation with a record of 10-1.
