Zeigler Named RRAC Pitcher of the Week

SHREVEPORT, La. – LSU Shreveport junior right-hander Draven Zeigler has been named the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) Pitcher of the Week for the period of February 3-9, following a dominant performance at the Cajun Collision tournament in Sterlington, La.

Zeigler was nearly untouchable on the mound, tossing seven scoreless innings in the Pilots' 5-0 victory over Dakota State University (S.D.). The Ash Grove, Mo., native allowed just three hits while striking out an impressive 13 batters without surrendering a walk. The shutout win improved his record to 3-0 on the season, as he now boasts a 1.69 ERA through his early outings.

Zeigler's stellar effort was part of an undefeated run for No. 11-ranked LSUS, as the Pilots went 4-0 at the tournament to extend their perfect record to 11-0 on the year.
