Perfect LSUS baseball team to visit White House on Oct. 20
SHREVEPORT – The date is set. The LSUS baseball team will visit the White House on Oct. 20 to recognize the first team in college baseball history to have an undefeated season.
 
The perfect Pilots were 59-0 this past season en route to the university's first-ever NAIA national championship in any sport. The White House invitation came from Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, who represents Louisiana's Fourth District  (includes Shreveport-Bossier).
Johnson called the LSUS baseball team during the June 2 celebration in downtown Shreveport's Festival Plaza to make the official invitation.
 
Further details of the visit are still being finalized.
