Bio

Jordan Schwellenbach completed his first season with the Pilots in 2025 as the programs Recruiting Coordinator and Pitching Coach. Prior to his arrival at LSUS, Schwellenbach spent 7 years at Central Methodist University. In his lone year with LSUS, the Pilots Pitching Staff broke and set program records that were in place for years. The Pitching staff broke the program record for ERA (2.38) and Opponent Batting Average (.192) and WHIP (.098) which also led the Nation in each. He helped lead the Pilots to a 59-0 record, the greatest achievement in Collegiate Baseball History, all while doing so in bringing home LSUS first National title in Athletics and program history. Senior LHP, Isaac Rohde was also named the NAIA, Perfect Game, and the NAIA Ball National Pitcher of the Year.

In July 2023, Schwellenbach was elevated to Head Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for Central Methodist where he also served as the pitching coach for the Eagles. 

During Schwellenbach's time at CMU the program won four Heart Regular Season Championships (2018, 2021, 2023 & 2024), a pair of conference tournament championships (2016 & 2021), and have qualified for six consecutive NAIA National Tournaments.

Additionally, he coached four Heart Pitchers of the Year and six NAIA All-Americans. 

Schwellenbach helped lead the Eagles to their best season in program history in 2021. Central swept the Heart Regular Season and Heart Tournament Championships and won the Opening Round of the O'Fallon Bracket, sending CMU to their first-ever Avista NAIA World Series berth in school history.

CMU finished their World Series run with a 3-2 overall record and a runner-up finish, falling to Georgia Gwinnett by a score of 8-4 in the National Championship game. The Eagles finished the year at No. 2 in the NAIA Baseball Coaches' Top 25 poll, the highest national ranking in program history. 

Schwellenbach, came to Central Methodist after serving as the pitching coach at Saginaw Valley State University in University Center, Mich. for three seasons. During his time with the Cardinals, he oversaw many All-Conference and All-Region performers, including Mike Ellenbest, who was selected by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 24th round of the MLB Draft.  

Prior to coaching, Schwellenbach was a pitcher for Northwood University in Midland, Mich. He appeared in 58 games, which is fourth all-time for the Timberwolves. In his collegiate career, he compiled a 7-7 record with eight saves, good for third all-time at Northwood.  

After graduation, he was named the head coach of the Michigan Area Braves, a wood bat summer team located in the Great Lakes Bay region of Michigan. In his lone season as the head coach in the summer of 2014, the team was a regional champion and an NABF World Series quarterfinalist.
