Pilots Tame the West With 93-83 Win Over the Mustangs
Hobbs, New Mexico — The Pilots returned to conference play Thursday night as they faced the Mustangs of Southwest compiling a 93-83 victory. With the win the Pilots improve to an overall record of 10-1 and a conference record of 5-0.
The Pilots struggled to find their groove in the first half as the Mustangs took a 51-43 lead in the first half. The Pilots were unshaded however and took to the court in the second half. The Pilots held the Mustangs to 32 points in the second half as they put up 50 points of their own. Cj Carpenter stepped up for the Pilots putting up a season high 31 points in the game. Jordan DeCuir also added to the mix netting 18 points of his own hitting four crucial three-pointers.
The Pilots will be back to action Saturday January 6th as they face the Tigers of Paul Quinn. Tip-off is set for 4:00pm CT from Dallas, Texas.
