Anderson Earns RRAC Offensive Player of the Week Honors
SHREVEPORT, La. – Senior guard Taj Anderson has been named the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) Offensive Player of the Week after an electrifying performance that helped lead the Pilots to a 2-1 record last week. The Pilots improved to 3-4 in conference play and 6-5 overall.
Anderson, a native of Queens, N.Y., averaged an impressive 26.3 points per game, showcasing his scoring prowess in each outing. He started the week strong with a 29-point effort against Xavier University (La.) on Monday and capped it off with a career-high 36 points in a thrilling victory over the University of the Southwest (N.M.) on Saturday.
Across three games, Anderson shot 59.5% from the field (25-of-42), including a remarkable 55.2% from beyond the arc (16-of-29). His consistent shooting and ability to score in bunches have him tied for first in the conference with an average of 19.0 points per game this season.
