LSU Shreveport Drops Road Contest to Freed-Hardeman, 82–60

HENDERSON, Tenn. -- LSU Shreveport men's basketball came up short on Tuesday afternoon, falling 82–60 to Freed-Hardeman University. The loss moves the Pilots to 2–2 on the season as they continue their early non-conference slate.

Devonte Austin led LSUS with 17 points, providing steady scoring throughout the night. Emareyon McDonald followed with 16 points, eight rebounds, and an assist. Hayden Brittingham controlled the glass with 10 rebounds while adding two blocks.

The Pilots finished the game shooting 38.2 percent from the field, 38.1 percent from three-point range, and 66.7 percent at the free-throw line.

For Freed-Hardeman, Rico Sain posted 22 points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Phil Horton added 12 points, and Lane Lauderbaugh recorded 11 points and 10 rebounds. Jalien Anderson added four points. FHU shot 51.6 percent from the floor, 35 percent from deep, and 60 percent at the line.

LSUS will look to respond at home next week. The Pilots host Texas A&M University–Texarkana on Wednesday, Nov. 20, at The Dock. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
