Brittingham Named RRAC Offensive Player of the Week After Clutch Performance
SHREVEPORT, La. – LSU Shreveport senior forward Hayden Brittingham has been selected as the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) Men's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week for the dates of Nov. 17-23, marking his second weekly honor of the season after previously earning Defensive Player of the Week.
Brittingham delivered a standout performance in the Pilots' conference-opening thriller against Texas A&M-Texarkana, breaking a late tie with a decisive basket in the final seconds. Teammate Alexzaye Johnson secured the 79-76 victory at the buzzer, but it was Brittingham's dominance throughout the night that fueled LSUS.
He finished with a powerful 26-point, 11-rebound double-double, going 8-of-16 from the floor and a perfect 10-of-10 from the free-throw line. Brittingham controlled the boards with seven offensive and four defensive rebounds, continuing his strong impact on both ends of the court.
Through the early stretch of the season, Brittingham leads the Pilots with 83 points and 46 rebounds, anchoring the squad as they improve to 3-2 overall and 1-0 in RRAC play.
