LSU Shreveport's Khi Wallace Named RRAC Defensive Player of the Week

SHREVEPORT, La. – LSU Shreveport sophomore guard Khi Wallace has been named the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week for the period of Nov. 24-30, marking his fifth career RRAC Defensive Player of the Week award.

Wallace turned in a dominant performance in LSUS's 77-61 loss to Freed Hardeman (Tenn.), recording his third double-double of the season. The Shreveport native contributed 18 points, connecting on 7-of-10 field goal attempts and 4-of-6 from the free throw line, while pulling down 13 rebounds.

Through six games this season, Wallace continues to be a cornerstone for the Pilots' defensive unit, currently ranking second on the team with 81 points (13.5 points per game) and 46 rebounds (7.7 per game). His defensive prowess is evident as he leads the team with seven blocked shots on the season.

LSUS stands at 3-3 overall and 1-0 in conference play as they continue their campaign.

The Pilots return to action on Thursday, Dec. 4, when they host Texas College in The Dock, with tip-off scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
