LSU Shreveport’s McDonald Named RRAC Offensive Player of the Week

SHREVEPORT, La. – LSU Shreveport men's basketball standout Emareyon McDonald has been named the Red River Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week after leading the Pilots to a perfect 3-0 week in conference play.

McDonald powered LSU Shreveport to wins over Florida Memorial University, the University of the Southwest, and UNT Dallas, averaging 20.0 points per game during the stretch. His most notable performance came against Southwest, where he erupted for a season-high 31 points to pace the Pilots' offense.

Along with his scoring production, McDonald averaged 4.3 rebounds per game on the week, providing a strong all-around presence. On the season, he ranks third on the team in scoring at 16.5 points per game and fourth in rebounding at 3.8 rebounds per game.

Behind performances like McDonald's, the Pilots have climbed to No. 25 in the NAIA Men's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll and remain undefeated in conference play at 7-0, while holding a 10-3 overall record.

LSU Shreveport will return to action on January 3, 2026, as the Pilots travel to Texarkana, Texas, to take on Texas A&M University–Texarkana. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m.
