Brittingham Named RRAC Offensive Player of the Week

SHREVEPORT, La. — LSU Shreveport senior forward Hayden Brittingham has been named the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) Offensive Player of the Week for the dates of Dec. 31–Jan. 4, the conference announced.

Brittingham led the Pilots in a key 99-81 victory over Texas A&M–Texarkana, turning in an all-around performance with 25 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and three steals. He was highly efficient offensively, shooting 9-of-12 from the field and 7-of-10 from the free-throw line.

On the season, Brittingham continues to rank among the RRAC's top performers. He sits third in the conference in total scoring with 236 points, fifth in scoring average at 16.9 points per game, and second in rebounding with 135 boards. This marks the fourth Player of the Week honor of his career, including one offensive and two defensive selections prior to this week.

The Pilots are currently ranked No. 25 in the NAIA Men's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll and boast an 11-3 overall record while remaining perfect at 8-0 in conference play.

LSU Shreveport returns to action on Jan. 8, traveling to New Orleans to face Xavier University of Louisiana. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
