SHREVEPORT, La. – LSU Shreveport men's basketball earned a 100–85 home victory over Our Lady of the Lake University on Thursday night at The Dock. The win improves the Pilots to 14-3 overall and 11-0 in RRAC action, while the Saints move to 9-7 overall and 8-3 in league play.
The game opened with an early back-and-forth stretch before the Pilots began to establish control behind interior defense and transition scoring. LSUS carried a 43–39 halftime advantage, with strong rim protection and timely perimeter shooting setting the tone.
The Pilots pulled away in the second half, opening the period with a surge that pushed the lead into double digits. LSUS continued to apply defensive pressure, forcing turnovers and converting them into fast-break points. Consistent interior finishes and perimeter shooting allowed the Pilots to maintain control throughout the final 10 minutes and secure another conference victory at The Dock.
Hayden Brittingham delivered another outstanding all-around performance, leading LSUS with 28 points, eight rebounds, five blocks, three assists, and two steals. Emareyon McDonald followed with 25 points, three rebounds, and two steals, while Thaddeus Johnson added 19 points, four rebounds, three steals, and two assists. James Johnson recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, along with two blocks. Alexzaye Johnson contributed six rebounds and five assists.
For Our Lady of the Lake, Barack Holland paced the Saints with 15 points. Arthur Celestin Jr. finished with 14 points and five rebounds, Santiago Ochoa added 14 points, three rebounds, and three assists, and Mike Aiken scored 11 points. Jaydin Morin-Bishop contributed six rebounds and three steals.
The Pilots return to action on Saturday, Jan. 17, when they welcome Texas A&M–San Antonio to The Dock. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m.
