Pilots Climb to No. 13 in Latest NAIA Coaches Poll

SHREVEPORT, La. – The LSU Shreveport men's basketball team continued its steady rise in the national rankings, moving up to No. 13 in the latest NAIA Men's Basketball Coaches Top 25 Poll released today.

The ranking marks another step forward in a consistent climb for the Pilots this season. LSUS began the year receiving votes, entered the Top 25 at No. 25, rose to No. 15, and now sits at No. 13 as postseason positioning intensifies.

The Pilots are coming off a dominant 113-87 victory over Texas College on Thursday night, showcasing the offensive firepower and defensive presence that have defined their season.

LSUS improves to 20-4 overall and 17-1 in Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) play, remaining firmly in contention for the RRAC Regular Season Championship as the conference schedule winds down.

Senior forward Hayden Brittingham continues to anchor the Pilots on both ends of the floor. He ranks No. 20 in the NAIA in rebounds per game, averaging 9.1 boards per contest, while providing consistent interior production.

Defensively, LSU Shreveport has made its mark in historic fashion this season. The Pilots set a new LSUS single-game record with 17 blocks against UNT Dallas, underscoring the rim protection and defensive intensity that have fueled their national climb.

With momentum building and championship goals in sight, the Pilots look to continue stacking wins as they push toward both a conference title and strong national postseason positioning.

LSUS returns to action for Homecoming 2026 on Thursday, Feb. 12, when they host North American University at The Dock. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
