Pilots Remain No. 13 in NAIA Poll
SHREVEPORT, La. – The LSU Shreveport men's basketball team held firm at No. 13 in the Feb. 25, 2026 NAIA Men's Basketball Coaches Top 25 Poll, continuing its steady national presence as postseason play intensifies.
The ranking reflects a season-long climb for the Pilots. LSUS opened the year receiving votes, entered the Top 25 at No. 25, rose to No. 15, and eventually climbed to No. 13 — where it now remains as conference tournament action unfolds.
Top-seeded LSU Shreveport delivered an offensive clinic Tuesday night at The Dock, defeating Texas A&M-San Antonio, 108-86, in the Red River Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Tournament Quarterfinal. With the win, the Pilots advance to the RRAC Tournament Semifinals and will face Texas A&M–Texarkana on Saturday, Feb. 28 at 7:30 p.m. in Alexandria, La.
LSUS enters the semifinal round as the RRAC Regular Season Champion and has already secured an automatic bid to the NAIA Men's Basketball National Tournament, further solidifying its standing among the nation's elite programs.
The Pilots' success has been fueled by one of the most balanced and explosive offenses in the conference.
Senior forward Hayden Brittingham leads the team in both scoring (17.9 points per game) and rebounding (9.0 rebounds per game). Brittingham also ranks No. 5 in the NAIA in scoring, placing him among the nation's premier offensive threats.
Emareyon McDonald provides consistent production as the team's second-leading scorer at 16.2 points per game, while Khi Wallace ranks third in scoring (15.3 ppg) and second in rebounding (8.7 rpg).
Thaddeus Johnson adds another double-digit option, averaging 14.6 points per game, giving LSUS four players capable of taking over offensively on any given night.
At the point, Alexzaye Johnson directs the offense efficiently, leading the team with 5.2 assists per game and helping the Pilots maintain their fast-paced, high-scoring attack.
