Five MBB Pilots Earn All-RRAC Honors
SHREVEPORT, La. -- LSU Shreveport men's basketball placed five student-athletes on the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) All-Conference teams, highlighted by a pair of First Team selections and multiple major award winners, as the Pilots continue their championship pursuit.
Headlining the honors were First Team All-Conference selections Hayden Brittingham and Khi Wallace. Brittingham capped off one of the most dominant seasons in program history by being named the RRAC Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year. The Dallas, Texas native averaged 17.9 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game while serving as the anchor on both ends of the floor. His consistent production and defensive presence made him one of the most complete and feared players in the conference. Brittingham earned RRAC Player of the Week honors six times this season, including four Defensive Player of the Week selections, underscoring his two-way dominance.
Wallace, who was also named the RRAC Newcomer of the Year, made an immediate impact in his first season with the Pilots. He averaged 15.3 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per game during the regular season, establishing himself as a force in the paint and a key component of LSUS' interior defense. Wallace collected RRAC Player of the Week honors three times, including two defensive recognitions, as his physicality and motor helped fuel one of the conference's top campaigns.
Thaddeus Johnson and Emareyon McDonald were both named to the RRAC Second Team following strong all-around seasons. Johnson averaged 14.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game, providing steady scoring and leadership in the backcourt. McDonald added 16.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per contest, consistently delivering timely offensive production and versatility for the Pilots.
Alexzaye Johnson earned Honorable Mention All-Conference recognition after averaging 9.1 points and 4.3 rebounds per game while ranking among the nation's top assist leaders at 5.2 assists per contest. His ability to distribute and control tempo played a vital role in LSUS' offensive efficiency throughout the season.
In addition to the on-court accolades, Nico Jones was named to the RRAC Champions of Character Team, recognizing his embodiment of the NAIA's core values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership. His commitment to excellence in competition, the classroom, and the community reflects the culture of the LSUS program.
The LSU Shreveport Pilots have advanced to the RRAC Tournament Semifinals and will face Texas A&M–Texarkana on Saturday, Feb. 28 at 7:30 p.m. in Alexandria, La., as they continue their pursuit of a conference championship.
