LSU Shreveport Selected as Host Site for 2026 NAIA Men’s Basketball National Championship First & Second Round
SHREVEPORT, La. -- LSU Shreveport has been selected as an official host site for the 2026 NAIA Men's Basketball National Championship First & Second Rounds, presented by Ballogy. The games will be played March 13-14 at The Dock on the LSUS campus.
LSUS earned the host bid as one of the top-ranked teams in the NAIA, coming in at No. 13 nationally while compiling a 26-5 overall record and a 20-2 mark in Red River Athletic Conference play. The Pilots captured the RRAC Regular Season Championship and completed the sweep by winning the RRAC Men's Basketball Tournament Championship, solidifying their position among the nation's elite programs.
The national tournament begins March 13 and will culminate with 16 final-site qualifiers from the 64-team field advancing to Kansas City, Mo. Those qualifiers will be announced on Thursday, March 5, at YouTube.com/PlayNAIA.
Each First and Second Round site will feature four teams competing in a single-elimination format on Friday and Saturday, March 13-14. The winner of each four-team pod will advance to the NAIA National Championship Final Site, held March 19-24 at historic Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City.
