Brittingham Earns LSWA All-Louisiana Second Team Honors

SHREVEPORT, La. -- LSU Shreveport men's basketball senior forward Hayden Brittingham has been named to the 2026 Louisiana Sports Writers Association (LSWA) All-Louisiana Second Team, adding another postseason honor to his standout campaign.

A native of Dallas, Texas, Brittingham put together one of the most decorated seasons in program history, earning recognition at both the conference and national levels. His LSWA selection further solidifies his status among the top players in the state of Louisiana.

Brittingham was instrumental in leading LSU Shreveport Athletics to a 28-6 overall record and a 20-2 mark in Red River Athletic Conference play. The Pilots captured both the RRAC regular season and tournament championships while advancing to the Round of 16 in the NAIA Men's Basketball National Championship Tournament.

The senior forward averaged 17.5 points and 8.8 rebounds per game while shooting 56.4 percent from the field across 34 games, including 31 starts. He also contributed 2.9 assists, 1.6 steals, and 1.5 blocks per contest, showcasing his ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor.

Brittingham recorded 14 double-doubles on the season and delivered several dominant performances, including a 38-point outing in a win over Texas A&M-San Antonio and a 15-rebound performance against Our Lady of the Lake.

His postseason résumé includes NAIA First Team All-American and NABC First Team All-American honors, along with RRAC Player of the Year, RRAC Defensive Player of the Year, RRAC Tournament MVP, and First Team All-RRAC recognition. He was also a seven-time RRAC Player of the Week selection.

As a team, LSU Shreveport established itself as one of the most efficient and balanced squads in the country, averaging 87.9 points per game while shooting 54.8 percent from the field and holding opponents to 76.3 points per contest. The Pilots spent much of the season ranked inside the NAIA Top 25, climbing as high as No. 13.
