Pilots Men's Soccer Claims Number One in Preseason Conference Poll
Waco, Texas—As soccer season is rapidly approaching the RRAC coaches have come together to vote on the season rankings for the conference. Following a successful 2022-2023 campaign the Pilots have found themselves ranked number one as they enter the 2023-2024 season.
The Pilots collected eleven of the thirteen possible first place votes taking 178 points in the poll. The 2022 season was a very successful one for the Pilots as they collected their first ever double championship in program history taking home both Conference Regular Season Champions and the Conference Tournament Champions titles. The Pilots finished with an overall record of 14-4-2 and a conference record of 9-0-2. The Pilots have returned many familiar faces to the program including Defensive Player of the Year and NAIA All-American Honorable Mention Jake Strachan while also adding many pieces to improve the Pilot roster.
The Pilots kick off their 2023 campaign on Saturday August 19th as they take on the Rams of Texas Wesleyan. Kickoff is set for 5:00pm CT from Fort Worth, Texas.
