Men's Soccer Blanks the Wildcats of LCU

Shreveport , Louisiana —In a thrilling soccer match, LSU Shreveport's Pilot defeated the Louisiana Christian Wildcats 2-0. With the win the Pilots improve to an overall record of 7-4-1 and a conference record of 5-2.

The first half was a tense battle, with both teams fiercely contesting possession for the initial 40 minutes. It was a true dogfight to see who would break through first. With less than four minutes left in the first half, Adam Gonzalez of the Pilots found the back of the net, giving LSUS a 1-0 lead just before halftime.

Despite both teams having four shots each, the Pilots maintained their lead going into the second half. The Pilot team continued to exert pressure after the break. Freshman David Vejsmose made a crucial breakthrough, scoring another goal for the Pilots. This time, a precise service from Alex Golder allowed the Pilots to extend their lead.

The Pilots outshot the Wildcats 3-2 in the second half, taking one more shot overall in the game. Ashton Bonsall, the Pilot's goalkeeper, played a pivotal role with some crucial saves to keep the Wildcats from scoring. In the end, it was a hard-fought victory for LSU Shreveport's Pilot, securing a 2-0 win over the Louisiana Christian Wildcats.

The Pilots will be back in action Thursday October 12th as they travel to Hobbs, New Mexico to take on the Mustangs of the University of the Southwest. Kick off is set for 3:30pm MST.
