LSU Shreveport’s Jaime Zani Named RRAC Offensive Player of the Week

SHREVEPORT, La. – LSU Shreveport junior forward Jaime Zani has been selected as the Red River Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the period of August 25-31.

Zani accounted for all three of the Pilots' goals during the week, playing a key role in helping LSUS earn back-to-back draws. The Valladolid, Spain, native opened the scoring by netting the lone goal in a 1-1 tie against Southwestern Christian University (Okla.). He followed that performance with a two-goal outing in a 2-2 draw on the road against William Carey University (Miss.).

Through three matches this season, Zani leads the Pilots' attack with three goals, as all of LSUS's contests have resulted in ties.

The Pilots will return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 3, hosting Oklahoma Wesleyan University at 1 p.m. at The Swamp on the LSUS campus.
