LSU Shreveport Men’s Soccer Cracks Top 10, Ranked No. 7 in Latest NAIA Coaches’ Poll
SHREVEPORT, La. – The LSU Shreveport men's soccer team has broken into the top 10 of the NAIA Men's Soccer Coaches' Top 25 Poll, earning the No. 7 spot in the latest national rankings.
The Pilots began the 2025 campaign ranked No. 13 in the preseason poll before briefly slipping to No. 15 on September 3. Since then, LSUS has been on a steady climb — moving to No. 14 on September 17, No. 12 on October 1, and No. 11 on October 15 — before reaching their highest ranking of the season this week.
LSUS has showcased remarkable consistency throughout the year, beginning the season with five draws against Top 25 opponents, including William Carey and Oklahoma Wesleyan. The Pilots responded with a dominant 12-match unbeaten streak, highlighted by a 10-0 record in Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) play.
On Monday, LSU Shreveport secured its fourth consecutive RRAC Regular Season Championship with a decisive 2-0 victory over Xavier University (La.) in The Swamp.
Head Coach Adam Kay's squad has demonstrated balance and resilience on both sides of the pitch, combining disciplined defense with explosive offensive play that has propelled them into national contention once again.
The Pilots will wrap up the regular season on Saturday, November 1, when they travel to Pineville, La., to face Louisiana Christian University. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m.
