No. 7 LSU Shreveport Set to Face Xavier (La.) in RRAC Championship Final

TEXARKANA, Texas – The stage is set for the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) Men's Soccer Championship final as No. 7 LSU Shreveport will face Xavier University of Louisiana on Wednesday, Nov. 12, at 3:30 p.m. at Judy Kelley Morgan Field, hosted by Texas A&M University–Texarkana.

The Pilots punched their ticket to the title match after a commanding 3-1 victory over Texas A&M University–San Antonio in the semifinals on Monday evening. LSU Shreveport, the reigning RRAC regular season champion, will look to capture its fourth consecutive conference tournament title.

Leading the charge for LSUS is Jack Thomas, who has tallied 18 goals and 11 assists this season, followed closely by Jaime Zani with 11 goals and 10 assists. In goal, Sondre Liahagen-Kolnes has been a defensive anchor for the Pilots, boasting a .78 goals-against average (GAA), 26 saves, and six shutouts.

The Gold Rush of Xavier (La.) earned their place in the championship after a 2-1 win over LSU Alexandria in the semifinals. XULA is powered by Iman Ouedraogo, who has scored 13 goals and added 10 assists, while goalkeeper Breno Zanolla has been a force in net with a .071 GAA, 32 saves, and nine shutouts on the season.

This will be a rematch of the teams' Oct. 27 showdown, when LSU Shreveport secured its fourth straight RRAC Regular Season Championship with a 2-0 victory over Xavier (La.).

The winner of Wednesday's championship match will earn an automatic bid to the 2025 NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship Tournament.
