LSUS Pilots Fall to Bethel in Campbellsville Classic, 47-65

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — In a challenging matchup at the Campbellsville Classic hosted by Campbellsville University, Louisiana State University Shreveport (LSUS) faced a tough 65-47 defeat against Bethel University. The Pilots struggled to find their rhythm offensively, with Bethel's defense proving difficult to overcome.

Leading the way for LSUS was Tiarra Tillison, who posted a team-high 12 points. She was supported by Racheal Emmanuel, who contributed 10 points along with a strong seven-rebound effort. Paula Gonzalez Herrero also made her presence felt on the boards, pulling down six rebounds. As a team, the Pilots shot 32.1 percent from the field, 29.4 percent from beyond the arc, and converted 66.7 percent of their free throws.

Bethel, however, put together a well-rounded performance led by Mikee Buchanan, who recorded an impressive double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Hallie Turner added 11 points along with seven assists and four rebounds, while Micah Hart secured 10 rebounds and dished out seven assists. Bethel's scoring was rounded out by Kylie Reynolds and Madison Hart, who each contributed 10 points. Bethel shot 42.4 percent from the field, 32.1 percent from three-point range, and 75.0 percent from the free throw line.

LSUS will look to rebound as they prepare for their next matchup against Texas A&M University-Texarkana in Texarkana, Texas, on Nov. 12. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
