Pilots Women’s Basketball Receives Votes in Latest NAIA Top 25 Poll

SHREVEPORT, La. – The LSU Shreveport women's basketball team continues to earn national recognition, receiving 17 votes in the latest NAIA Women's Basketball Coaches Top 25 Poll.

The Pilots have consistently appeared on the national radar throughout the 2025–26 season after earning a No. 25 ranking in the Preseason Coaches Top 25 Poll released Oct. 22. LSUS later moved into the receiving votes category in November and has maintained its position among the top programs just outside the Top 25.

LSUS holds a 17-2 overall record and remains perfect in Red River Athletic Conference play at 13-0. The Pilots continued their dominant run through conference competition with a commanding 79-26 road victory over Jarvis Christian University on Thursday night.

LSU Shreveport's success has been fueled by standout performances on both ends of the floor. Toni Coleman currently ranks No. 1 in the NAIA in steals with 91, highlighting the Pilots' defensive intensity. Selma Markisic is tied for No. 22 nationally in scoring, averaging 19.3 points per game, while Amandine L'Etang is tied for No. 6 in the NAIA in blocks at 2.6 per game.

The Pilots will return to action on Jan. 29, when LSU Shreveport welcomes Louisiana Christian University to The Dock. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
