LSUS Women’s Basketball Earns No. 7 Seed in Campbellsville Bracket of 2026 NAIA First and Second Rounds

SHREVEPORT, La. – LSU Shreveport Women's Basketball will continue its postseason run as the No. 7 seed in the Campbellsville Bracket of the 2026 NAIA Women's Basketball National Championship First and Second Rounds, hosted by Campbellsville University in Campbellsville, Ky.

The Pilots (27-4, 20-2 RRAC) will open play against No. 10 seed Benedictine College on Friday, March 13, at 7 p.m. The other first-round matchup will feature No. 2 seed and host Campbellsville University taking on No. 15 seed Bryan College at 5 p.m. on Friday. The winners of the two contests will meet in the bracket championship game on Saturday, March 14, at 3 p.m., with the victor advancing to the 45th Annual NAIA Women's Basketball National Championship in Sioux City, Iowa, scheduled for March 19-24 at the Tyson Events Center.

LSU Shreveport enters the national tournament riding the momentum of its Red River Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Tournament Championship victory, defeating Texas A&M-San Antonio, 64-59, in its most recent outing. The Pilots compiled a 27-4 overall record and a 20-2 mark in conference play while capturing both the RRAC Regular Season and Tournament Championships.

LSUS has been strong on both ends of the floor throughout the season, averaging 72.3 points per game while recording 39.3 rebounds, 15.9 assists, 15.3 steals, and 4.1 blocks per contest across 31 games. The Pilots are led offensively by Selma Markisic, who averages 17.8 points per game. Amandine L'Etang anchors the interior with 6.9 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game, while Toni Coleman directs the offense with 3.8 assists per contest and leads the defensive pressure with 4.5 steals per game.

Benedictine College, out of the Heart of America Athletic Conference, enters the postseason with a 24-7 overall record and an 18-2 conference mark. The Ravens reached the Heart of America Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Tournament Championship before falling to MidAmerica Nazarene, 65-55. Benedictine averages 72 points per game while pulling down 40.7 rebounds and distributing 17.6 assists per contest. Riley Bruggeman leads the team with 17.5 points per game while also contributing 4.3 assists and three steals per game. Nicole Storck averages 7.8 rebounds per contest, and Oen Deters adds 4.3 assists per game.

Host Campbellsville University represents the Mid-South Athletic Conference and holds a 22-7 overall record with a 7-8 mark in conference play. The Tigers most recently competed in the Mid-South Women's Basketball Tournament Championship, falling to Georgetown College, 74-71. Campbellsville averages 80.3 points per game along with 36.7 rebounds, 17.5 assists, and 14.2 steals per game. Whitney Hay leads the Tigers with 18 points per game, while Tyra Flowers contributes 7.3 rebounds and three steals per contest. Hallie Allen averages 2.4 assists per game.

Bryan College, representing the Appalachian Athletic Conference, enters the tournament with a 21-6 overall record and an 18-2 conference mark. The Lions last competed in the Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament Quarterfinals, falling to Spartanburg Methodist College, 69-68.
