LSU Shreveport Weightlifting Claims Top Honors at USA Weightlifting Regional University Championship

SAN MARCOS, Texas -- LSU Shreveport Weightlifting delivered a dominant performance at the USA Weightlifting Regional University Championship, returning home with multiple top awards and proving once again why the program continues to be a force on the national stage.

The Pilots swept the team categories, earning Top Men's Team and Top Women's Team honors after a weekend of standout lifts and consistent scoring across all weight classes. LSUS also captured both of the event's premier individual awards. Grace Gonzales-Liz earned Best Overall Female, showcasing exceptional form and power throughout her attempts. On the men's side, Bryson Brown claimed Best Overall Male, closing out the championship with a commanding series of lifts that pushed the Pilots to the top of the leaderboard.

LSUS will compete again on December 4-7 at the American Open Finals in Daytona Beach, Fla.
