Women's Soccer Collects Four Conference Awards

Waco, Texas- The Women's soccer team found four members of their squad being honored by the conference. The Red River Athletic Conference announced their conference awards Thursday afternoon.

The Pilots finished their season 4-5-2 in conference and 9-5-3 overall. Among the awards the women garnered two all-conference honorable mentions, an all-freshman team selection, and a champions of character team award.

All Conference Honorable Mention

Chelsea Brown, LSU Shreveport, Junior Forward

Yuvia Vazquez, LSU Shreveport, Sophomore Midfield

All-Freshman Team

Felicity McNeil, LSU Shreveport, Freshman Midfield

Champions of Character

Abbie Rutledge, LSU Shreveport, Junior Midfield

Brown was one of two Pilots to break school records this year collecting four records in her name. She had 8 goals and 4 assists in her 17 games played with 49 shots and 30 of them on frame.

The Women's soccer team will be back in action in the fall of 2023.
