Basto Selected to All-Conference Team
Shreveport, LA- The Red River Athletic Conference announced the women's tennis All-Conference teams and the Pilots had two representatives.
Angela Basto was the anchor for the Pilots all season playing both the #1 singles and #1 doubles. Her record doesn't indicate the level of play on courts from Basto as many of her matches went to tie-breakers. She finished the season 3-7 in singles and 1-10 in doubles. For her efforts she was selected as a 2nd team All-Conference. This marks the second year in a row for Basto to be selected to the All-Conference team.
Carmen Perez was named to the Champions of Character team. Perez has represented the Pilots well all year in the classroom and acted with class on the court and because of that she is being honored.
The Pilots look forward to returning a strong team next year that will consist of returners and some new faces.
