Women’s Tennis Takes Two

Shreveport, La. -  The LSUS Women's Tennis team returned home today to play two matches against conference opponents Texas A&M Texarkana and Louisiana Christian. Riding what is now a four match winning streak, LSUS handled TAMUT 4-0 and turned around to beat LCU 4-1. The Pilots seem to have found their stride while looking forward to their next match against rival LSUA on April 20th. 

Match 1 vs. TAMUT (4-0 Win)

Doubles:

Lescher/Sanchez won 6-2

Basto/Gomez won 6-2

Singles:

Basto was winning 6-3, 1-0

Lescher won 6-0, 6-1

Gomez was losing 1-6, 1-3

Maldanado was winning 6-3, 1-1

Sanchez won 6-2, 6-1

Mandrot won 6-0, 6-1

Match 2 vs. LCU (4-1 Win)

Doubles:

Lescher/Sanchez won 6-1

Basto/Gomez was tied 6-6, 3-3

Mandrot/Maldonado won 7-6

Singles:

Basto won 6-3, 6-1

Lescher won 6-0, 6-1

Gomez was winning 6-4, 6-5

Maldonado won 6-1, 7-6

Sanchez was winning 6-4, 5-7, 1-0

Mandrot lost 3-6, 3-6
