LSUS Women’s Tennis Ranked No. 25 in NAIA Top 25 Coaches Poll

SHREVEPORT, La. – The LSU Shreveport (LSUS) women's tennis team has earned a spot in the NAIA Women's Tennis Top 25 Coaches Poll, climbing into the rankings at No. 25. The Pilots entered the national standings after receiving votes in the fourth coaches' rating, marking a significant milestone for the program.

Currently boasting a 7-2 overall record, LSUS has secured key victories, including wins against Louisiana Christian University. The team's impressive performance this season has also propelled them to a No. 21 national ranking in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) rankings.

In doubles competition, LSUS duo Pierina Lescher and Daniela Maldonado have made their mark on the national stage, ranking No. 49 in the ITA. Their chemistry and skill have been instrumental in the team's success, further highlighting the depth and talent within the Pilots' roster.

The Pilots will celebrate Senior Day on Friday at 9 a.m. as they face Texas A&M University-Texarkana at the Pilot Tennis Courts.
