Pilots Hold Fast, Defeat North American, 4-1

Shreveport, LA – The Louisiana State University Shreveport (LSUS) men's soccer team continued their unbeaten run in the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) with an impressive 4-1 victory over North American University on Saturday afternoon. The Pilots improved their conference record to a perfect 6-0 and now hold an overall record of 7-2-2.

David Vejsmose led the offensive charge, scoring twice in the first half with goals in the 15th and 37th minutes, giving the Pilots the momentum they needed early on. Guillermo Ferreiro found the back of the net just a minute after Vejsmose's second strike, scoring in the 38th minute to extend the lead.

The Pilots came out strong after halftime, with Liam Vivian adding a fourth goal in the 47th minute. Kodai Tanaka and Taine Garner also played key roles, each recording an assist to help secure the victory.

North American University's Joseph Figueroa managed to score their only goal in the 19th minute, but the Pilots' defense remained resolute throughout the remainder of the match.

Next, the Pilots will take on LSU-Alexandria on Thursday, Oct. 10, in Alexandria, La. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m., as the team looks to continue their stellar conference form.
