Pilot Women's Soccer Sailed Past Texas Wesleyan

Shreveport, Louisiana --- The Women's soccer team had an electric start to their season as they took down the Rams of Texas Wesleyan 4-1 Saturday night. With the win the Pilots start their season off 1-0. 

The Pilots instantly applied pressure to the Rams as Ksenjia Pavlovic put one in the back of the net in the second minute of the game. Alba Martinez followed up three minutes later with a goal of her own before Dawniella Torres added a third goal in the 8th minute. The Pilots locked the Rams out for the rest of the half outshooting them 7-3. 

The second half was a touch less exciting as each team put in one goal. Torres added her second goal of the night in the 57th minute of the match giving the Pilots a 4-0 lead. Though the Pilots seemed to have the win the Rams pushed on and notched a goal in the 87th minute to take away the clean sheet.

The Pilots outshot the Rams 12-10 with one corner and three saves.

The Pilots will be back in action Thursday August 24th as they take on the Eagles of Southwestern Christian. Kick off is set for 2:30pm CT from Bethany, OK.
